Summary:

This claims professional will be responsible for handling complex general liability claims. The ideal candidate would have litigation experience in managing commercial general liability, auto or professional liability claims. Experience handling dram shop and New York Labor Law cases a plus. Must have the ability to interpret insurance coverage, handle bodily injury claims and third party property damage claims and analyze the file materials to discern key issues; create a plan for strategic claim evaluation to most efficiently resolve or defend these matters. Must be willing to be licensed in the jurisdictions which require same.

Position Requirements

Position Requirements :

Ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of insurance claim experience preferably in commercial general liability. Candidate must be able to work in various computer systems and programs. Ability to function independently as well as in an environment of teamwork and collaboration. Ability to navigate difficult situations with both internal and external groups. Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to influence and negotiate.
Possess strong customer service skills and behaviors.
Makes decisions in an informed, confident and timely manner.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
May represent the company at mediation, arbitration and trials.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows, MSWord, Internet and ability to prepare, update and manipulate MS Excel spreadsheets.
Ability to function and toggle between multiple applications.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Dram Shop and New York Labor Law experience a plus.

Must be willing to travel when necessary.
